  • Follow the Leader: After the success of Yuru Yuri, a lot of Slice of Life comedies from Doga Kobo were staged in the same style, especially Gabriel DropOut, which was also adapted by the same director.
  • No Export for You: Despite its immense popularity, the manga has never been officially translated into English, aside from a brief turn on the long since defunct JManga site.
  • Those Two Actors: Rumi Ōkubo (Chinatsu) and Minami Tsuda (Yui) previously worked together on Pretty Rhythm: Dear My Future as Mia Ageha and Karin Shijimi respectively. They would later become two of the three main characters on Yuyushiki.
