• No Export for You: While the anime was eventually released in North America, the manga it was based on never was.
• Overtook the Manga: When the manga was still in the middle of the Cake Grand Prix, the anime went in its own direction by having Team Ichigo lose in the finals, but still able to go to Paris as sub-representatives for the St. Marie Japan campus. The second season of the anime, entitled Yumeiro Pâtissière Professional, is a completely original story taking place a couple years later with an older Ichigo.
