- Acting for Two: He plays a father and his son in the mock commercial for the diuretic Sodiaspurg and Jack and Locke in a short Lost parody in his The Pumaman review.
- Cowboy BeBop at His Computer: When addressing Supaidaman’s status as a Quirky Work, he uses a Japanese commercial featuring “a raccoon with giant testicles.” Apparently, he doesn’t know about tanuki, whose portrayal in Japanese mythology is supposed to be just that.
- Dear Negative Reader: Usually averted, he does plays this straight in his review of Fuga di Cervelli, just to show how much he hated that movie for several, understandable reasons.
