• Executive Meddling: According to Schultz himself, another reason why the cartoon died early. The suits wanted it to be a Turtle-killer, and Nelvana was trying to break away from making cartoons made for older audiences at the same time, leading to problems. And then there were concerns over adding Hannah to The Merch, since the suits thought that female characters belonged in the pink aisle only.
• Marth Debuted in "Smash Bros.": In a inversion of this trope, the Capcom's beat'm up game was the only thing of the franchise that was released in Japan, as neither the comics, nor the animated adaptation came out there, as the game was made for American (and Western by default) audiences in mind.
  • The toys released with the comics and cartoon were molds originally made for Dino-Riders as seen here. The Quetzalcoatlus was simply "Pterodactyl" in "DR" and was renamed when the Smithsonian used the molds for itself.
