• Role Reprise: John Cygan reprises his role as Dash Rendar from Shadows of the Empire.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Previews showed that multiple players could take control of a freighter in multiplayer matches, with one player flying and others manning the turrets. This was cut due to technical difficulties and the state of internet connections at the time proving too slow to be practical. Other features both major and minor, including a number of fighters like the Star Viper, were Dummied Out as well.
  • A number of unused voice lines for the Battle Of Endor levels suggest they originally stayed closer to the film's events. These include Green Leader crashing their A-Wing in to the Bridge of the Executor, and Lando telling the other Rebel Pilots to head back to the surface to see if they can get any of the Tie Fighters to follow them.
  • Reportedly, the developers wanted to end the game in a way that would have wrapped up the family storyline, but they were forced to end with the Battle of Endor and cut the resolution to the family storyline out of time constraints. An expansion was planned that would have properly resolved the hanging plot threads, but was cancelled due to poor sales of the game, the general decline of the space sim market, and Lucasarts wanting to focus on prequel trilogy games.
