• Executive Meddling: In a podcast, Leah Williams revealed that this story was originally pitched as a smaller story within the X-Factor (2020) series. Marvel Editorial liked the idea a little too much, to the point where they canceled X-Factor entirely, reasoning that the pitch was too good to "use on a book that wasn't getting enough readers" and instead pushed Leah to rework what was meant to be an X-Factor story into an X-Men Event Comic.
