• Playing Against Type: All three of his main runs (WCPW, Progress, NJPW) saw him play a likable face at first before turning into a psychotic heel. Although, some would dispute which of the two is against type.
• Promoted Fanboy: Played up on commentary quite a bit, but he is legitimately a huge fan of many of the people he wrestles, including AJ Styles, Matt Sydal, and Ricochet. He's repeatedly over the years called Styles the reason he even got inside a ring in the first place. The appreciation is clearly mutual, as Styles congratulated Ospreay after winning the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, saying that seeing him wrestle was like looking into a mirror.
  • Cited Assassin's Creed as a major influence in his presentation, down to one of his main recurring monikers being "the Aerial Assassin" and often wearing gear with hoods in his entrances. He eventually got an Assassin's Creed-themed entrance in his final Wrestle Kingdom appearance in 2024, done in direct collaboration with Ubisoft themselves.
• Romance on the Set: He was in a relationship with Bea Priestley, who's signed with the WWE on the NXT brand under the ring name Blair Davenport. After their break up, he married Alex Windsor.
