The entire Of Corset Hurts trope is based almost entirely on upper-class tightlacing corsets, which were vanishingly rare outside of debutante circles and were, indeed, not the most comfortable of garments. For a woman of Abigail Stanton's class, a painful corset is quite simply a corset that doesn't fit.
• Fake Nationality: Daniel Lissing who plays Jack, the Canadian Mountie is Australian while Lori Loughlin, Jack Wagner and Erin Krakow are all Americans playing Canadians.

• Role-Ending Misdemeanor: In 2019, it came out that Lori Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, had been involved in the 2019 college admissions bribery scandal after the couple paid a bribe of $500,000, disguised as a charitable donation, so that the University of Southern California's (USC) admissions committee would be misled into admitting their two daughters on an athletic scholarship. The Hallmark Channel fired Loughlin after she was arrested, unceremoniously wrote her out, and removed all of her character's scenes from the remaining episodes of the sixth season.
