- Development Hell: The follow-up to The Valentine LP, tentatively titled Beasts of the Unknown, was first announced by Brendan in 2014, but no clear update on its recording or production was made ever since. Not helping matters is that its first few songs have only been performed live and never got a studio release, with later material being relegated as B-sides to singles featuring re-recordings of songs from the self-titled album.
- One-Hit Wonder: They're mostly known by the general public only for "Teenage Dirtbag", and to a lesser extend "A Little Respect".
