• Separated-at-Birth Casting: Tilda Swinton and Ezra Miller quite convincingly play mother and son. Additionally, although neither actually are of Armenian heritage, many agreed that Miller, as well as the small children who play young Kevin, do somewhat pass as being of Armenian descent.
• Star-Making Role: Ezra Miller became a lot more well-known to audiences after this film.
• What Could Have Been:
  • An original draft of the script involved Celia's glass eye, as following the book, though it's possible that Pragmatic Adaptation decisions led it to being cut.
  • An original draft is more explicit in indicating that Eva does truly love Kevin from the start and his birth is remarked as "love as first sight" for her.
