- What Could Have Been: Artor Morlin, a vampire Masked Lord of Waterdeep who first appeared in 3.5th Edition, was originally planned to appear in the adventure module, with several pieces of Concept Art of him being made, only for him to not make it in the final product. He still ended up as a major NPC in the Season 8 adventure modules of Adventurers League (the organized play program for 5th Edition), as well as being briefly mentioned in Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage.
