• Creator Couple: A number of the women in both tournaments are romantically connected with WWE wrestlers.
  • Candice LeRae is married to NXT wrestler Johnny Gargano.
  • Aerial Monroe is married to WWE wrestler Cedric Alexander.
  • Rachel Evers is dating NXT wrestler Kassius Ohno.
• Doing It for the Art: Meiko Satomura is a joshi legend and the co-founder of the Sendai promotion in Japan, and hardly needs the exposure. In interviews, she mentions wanting to participate to get international attention on Japanese women's wrestling.
• Playing Against Type: Both Rhea Ripley and Reina Gonzalez were babyfaces in the 2017 tournament. They came back as heels with very different gimmicks in the 2018 tournament.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Nixon Newell blew out her knee mere days before the tournament tapings. She was apparently replaced by Kay Lee Ray, who was flown out to look after her after surgery.
  • The following year, Nixon injured the other knee in the middle of a quarterfinals match. It was heavily rumored that she'd been slated to win the 2018 tournament, but due to the injury, Rhea Ripley would go on to face eventual finalist Io Shirai. Later confirmed in an interview by Nixon that she was to win the 2018 tournament and become the first-ever NXT UK Women's Champion, which instead went to Ripley.
