• Dummied Out: In VLDC7's collab hack, the first two thirds of Hostel are unused, and still present in the ROM.
• In Memoriam: VLDC9 is dedicated to the memory of Nicholas 'eXcavator' Arts, who made that hack's Great Ice Ravine level, but died before the finished version was released.
• Schedule Slip: The VLDC X collab only started work in 2024, a full seven years after the contest itself.
