- Follow the Leader: It's no surprise that the whole concept of CGI fairy tale parodies with toilet humor and celebrity voice actors was inspired a lot by Shrek. Chicken Little seems to be another main inspiration for the franchise because of the concept of modernized fairy tales and the use of both Furry Reminder jokes and tween/teenage main characters.
- Only So Many Canadian Actors: One of two Jim Henson-related projects to suffer from this trope (the other being Dinosaur Train) as a result of it being a production of Sabella Dern, who usually hires Canadian talent to voice act in their works.
- What Could Have Been:
- An adaptation of Three Billy Goats Gruff was first considered as part of the trilogy instead of Tortoise vs. Hare.
- 3 Pigs and a Baby was originally going to have a scene on which the wolf pack made Lucky taste a piece of pork. Later, Lucky would return to his dads and have a Meat-O-Vision moment upon seeing them. These scenes were cut because of the Squick that they would imply.
