• The Other Darrin: John Stephenson was apparently unavailable as Wally Burr and Corey Burton do Thundercracker and Alpha Trion while the Japanese version has Toshio Ishii do Alpha Trion in place of Osamu Saka. Corey's job is more justifiable, as Alpha Trion is considerably younger here.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Originally, the victim of Megatron's first attack would have been a generic robot, but it was changed to a young Optimus Prime.
  • The writer had intended for Ariel to die along with Dion, but members of the production team noted her similarities to Elita One (color scheme and girlfriend to Orion/Optimus), so they added Alpha Trion's comment about his plans to rebuild and rename her.
