- Cash-Cow Franchise: With two seasons, three movies (plus a compilation movie), it's own lines of merch, and frequent collaborations, it acts as yet another one for Touken Ranbu, which is already a cash cow franchise of its own.
- Crossdressing Voices: The English dub is noted to play this trope straight with some of the younger/androgynous characters while all the male characters are voiced by male voice actors in the Japanese dub.
- The Merch: While it features the same characters as from it's parent game, Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru has it's own line of merchandise released under the title of the series, from clothes, to keychains, to figures, to collaborative items with big brands, to plushies, and so on. Notably, Kashuu and Yamatonokami even got their own Nendoroid Co-de's and figures from Good Smile based on their poses from the promotional poster for the series, while Tsurumaru, Mitsutada, and Hasebe would get figures in their Uchiban outfits from Kotobukiya.
