• Deleted Scenes:
  • Tosh tells Owen she's glad he opened the rift because they weren't going to survive in 1941, and the hospital staff vent out their frustration that Torchwood has finally arrived "like flies to shit".
  • Ianto reveals that deep in the archives he found information on how to fully open the rift, to Gwen's surprise. Jack acknowledges that it can happen, but that the building will likely be destroyed if they did, which doesn't dissuade Ianto.
  • Before giving himself to Abaddon, Jack muses to Gwen that maybe everything was leading to this moment and the reason he can't die is to make this sacrifice. He forgives Gwen and tells her to "keep hold of your life".
• What Could Have Been:
  • Rhys was originally supposed to die in this episode.
  • Chris Chibnall originally envisioned Gwen taking Rhys to a hotel in her attempt to save him, with Rhys later returning to their apartment because he had forgotten to bring a change of underwear, whereupon he was stabbed by Bilis.
