  • Bury Your Art: As with all of their pre-Shrek works, any traces of this show appear to have been wiped clean from DreamWorks Animation's history, to the point that they list The Penguins of Madagascar as their first TV show.note
  • Cross-Dressing Voices: Charlie Adler voices Dr. Vic's grandmother in the episode "WereGranny".
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: Exactly one VHS was released of the series of select episodes strung together and billed as a "Feature-Length Adventure", but quickly went out of print. The complete series was available on Netflix in 2014 but it was taken down a year later. It's safe to assume that, due to the show's obscurity and DreamWorks Animation apparently wanting nothing to do with it, a complete series home video release is out of the question. As of this writing, one's best bet is finding a few scattered episodes floating around YouTube.
  • Kids' Meal Toy: Burger King sold a set of five toys in their Kids' Meals in the 1998 Halloween season.
  • Screwed by the Network: Season 2 was moved to Tuesday afternoons (no, not weekday afternoons, JUST Tuesday) and at a time when kids were still getting home from school. Little wonder it never made it to season 3.
  • The Other Darrin: Dedgar Deadman (the dad on the "Night of the Living Fred" cartoons) was voiced by Matt Frewer on season one. On season two, he was replaced with Jess Harnell.
