• Creator Backlash: The episode was clearly not very popular with the writing staff, thanks to its poor animation quality. You can see it with its Credits Gag ("Number of Retakes: Don't Ask"), the Alan Smithee credits for two of the shorts, and Babs' line in the opening segment for "Duck in the Muck" makes you wonder if it had some double-meaning involved:
  Babs (to the viewers) You came back? Hey, Buster! They came back!
• Troubled Production: There's a perfectly good reason that the Credits Gag makes note of the amount of retakes this episode had. Namely because there really were that many. This episode and the other two episodes animated by Encore Cartoons were continuously held back in the production for retakes because the animation was just that bad, and the final result still has some of the series' most abysmal animation. Note that this episode was actually the third episode in the production order, yet didn't air until halfway through the season.
