- Creator Backlash: Albert Pyun hated the film, and even publicly apologized for it several times. According to him, Nu Image suddenly cut off his funds half way through shooting, then took it from him and spliced it with archive footage from several of their other films to get the final product. Pyun has since made an unofficial release of his drastically different director's cut. His DVD commentary was edited to remove all of his bashing of Nu Image and how badly the film was treated.
