• Out of Order: This episode was produced as the thirteenth episode of Series 7 but was aired as the twelfth episode.
• What Could Have Been:
  • The episode was originally supposed to have Peter Sam in the lead role instead of Rheneas, and he would've wanted to get the children's trip over and done with so he could get back to doing important work rather than how Rheneas wanted to go out of his way to make it special.
  • Concept Art for the Peter Sam version of the episode shows that rather than one coach for the children's trip, the original script called for two open-topped coaches that resemble Ada, Jane, and Mabel from The Little Old Engine.
• Working Title: "Rollercoaster".
