• Orphaned Reference: Edward and James are present at Tidmouth when Donald and Douglas return with Thomas but aren't acknowledged in any way. This is presumably a holdover from Thomas and the Missing Christmas Tree, where the two of them helped Donald and Douglas rescue Thomas from the snowdrift.
• Prop Recycling: Father Christmas reuses the Fat Controller's models in both close-up and regular scale. The latter specifically reuses the model of the Fat Controller in his overalls from "Coal".
