• Hide Your Pregnancy: The reason for Scully's abduction (and that weird inflate-a-belly scene).
• What Could Have Been: In the original script, Krycek was more of a stereotypical Dirty Cop. Instead of going to ground after his cover is blown, he confronts Mulder and Skinner in the latter's office. Skinner starts this confrontation skeptical of Mulder's claims, but Krycek's weak defense against Mulder's accusations convinces Skinner that Krycek is definitely dirty. He's about to turn Krycek over to Internal Affairs when he gets a call from the Cigarette-Smoking Man, ordering Skinner to let Krycek go. Krycek, smugly anticipating such a call, casually walks away over Mulder's objections. Nicholas Lea famously disagreed with this characterization, as he believed Krycek should have felt more conflicted about betraying Mulder and would have no personal animus against Scully. As serendipity would have it, this confrontation was replaced with a different scene with Krycek and CSM to provide more clarity on the motivations of the conspirators, giving Lea a chance to go with his more conflicted characterization.
