• What Could Have Been:
  • The Wasp was featured as a major character in one of the earlier drafts of Joss Whedon's screenplay for The Avengers. She ended up being cut from the film due to there already being too many characters to juggle.
  • She was also originally set to be one of the three main characters in the first Ant-Man film, but this changed during development.
  • The Hope Van Dyne version of the Wasp was supposed to make her debut in Captain America: Civil War, but the character was cut from the script due to a variety of factors (such as Evangeline Lilly being heavily pregnant and the filmmakers not wanting her debut to be overshadowed by other characters).
