• Follow the Leader: The biggest being megahit Star Wars (check out that rad Chewbacca-with-horns!), but the film also sees fit to crib plenty of concepts and beats from Space Battleship Yamato, which was also huge in Japan at the time. Plus, there's no mistaking Gohten as anything but a descendant of the Gotengo from Atragon.
