• The Other Darrin: Barring a few exceptions (see Role Reprise below), any and all characters from the show are voiced by new actors in Destinies.
• Remake Cameo: Chandler Riggs voices one of the Woodbury's grunts.
• Role Reprise: Sarah Wayne Callies (Lori), IronE Singleton (T-Dog), Madison Lintz (Sophia), Emily Kinney (Beth) and Markice Moore (Andrew) return to voice their characters here.
• What Could Have Been: GameMill published a deleted alternate storyline for Merle where he would be rescued from the Atlanta roof by a young girl before he had to cut off his hand. He was then taken to the little girl's group of young friends, and became their protector and caretaker, pulling a Heel–Face Turn thanks to the love of the children.
