• Actor-Shared Background: Charles Grey is known to use Krav Maga in unarmed combat situations. Michael Irby is known to have practiced it for several years.
  • In "True Believers", Grey is seeing dribbling a soccer ball. Michael did some soccer before injuries forced him to retire.
  • Kim Brown and Audrey Marie Anderson are from Texas. The former's from Galveston and the latter from Fort Worth.
• Fake American: Demore Barnes (Canadian) as Hector "Hammerhead" Williams.
  • Zigzagged with Rebecca Pidgeon as Charlotte Ryan. She has British parents and was born in the US. Rebecca has dual nationalities with the UK and the US.
• Screwed by the Network: Rather, screwed by the writer's strike. Season three was cut in half and had to resolve many plot lines very abruptly, certainly to the point of shark-jumping for many viewers. Probably the largest contributing factor to season four's less than satisfying ratings and ultimate cancellation.
  • Also not helping was the network moving it to Sunday nights at 10 for season four, where football overruns were constantly pushing it halfway out of primetime and its lead-in (Cold Case) was about three-quarters of a ratings point weaker than its previous lead-in (NCIS).
• What Could Have Been:
  • The third season wouldn't have that few episodes (11 in total) if the Writers Guild strike didn't happen.
  • A fifth season was planned to be the last season, in which the following arcs would have been introduced.
    • Bob suffers a Career-Ending Injury, goes to work for the CIA and constantly has to battle the VA medical bureaucracy to get continuing treatment for his injuries. The Unit would later contact Bob and serve as their insider.
    • Jonas needs Mack's help in covering up his own injury, so he can continue to operate, and not have to retire. He would also eventually retire in order to repair his relationship with Molly and land a job in the real estate industry. Mack would take command eventually.
    • A subplot would involve Grey and his wife, the latter being fiercely independent and has a hard time committing to OPSEC rules mandated for Unit families.
    • The Brigadier Ryan is attempting to get himself demoted back to Colonel, so he can resume command of the Unit.
    • The CIA gets into an Interservice Rivalry when they spearhead a special forces unit that would rival the Unit.
    • Sam would reveal that he's gay and there would be an episode on how the Unit and the military would deal with it. Bridget would be mortally wounded during a combat op and she would tell Sam that she forgives him (and to an extent, Col. Ryan) for conducting the false flag of pretending to have her raped.
