- Cowboy BeBop at His Computer: The Nintendo Power strategy for the game in Volume 63 mistakenly assumes that Von Hessler was an alien all along when he is actually possessed by Owasa, and erroneously uses Vampra's name instead of Hydra (the former being the name of Camilla's mother, not Felina's).
- Keep Circulating the Tapes: Spike McFang hasn't been released since the SNES days, making finding it extremely difficult.
- Urban Legend of Zelda: The game has a persistent rumor surrounding it that the player character in the Japanese version ate hearts to recover health, but the Bowdlerised North American replaced them with tomatoes, turning Spike into a Vegetarian Vampire. Actually, the tomatoes are also in the Japanese version. (The game's Japanese-only predecessor, Makai Prince Dorabocchan, even has separate meters for hearts and tomatoes.) This seems to be the result of Gossip Evolution based on typical descriptions of the game comparing and contrasting it with more typical Action-Adventure games like The Legend of Zelda, where Hearts Are Health (and Heroes Prefer Swords).
