• Never Work with Children or Animals: The elephant Gregory uses to keep his wife from running out was an actual elephant, since rear-projection and other special effect tricks proved not to be convincing enough. One of the writers noted that he watched the elephant's trainer beat on its legs with a stick until it "shit a bale of hay", then told him, "You're good for two hours." As he put, "I went to [the director] and said, 'You've got two hours to use the elephant or you're in trouble."
• Recycled Set: Gart Williams' living room set from "A Stop at Willoughby" was redressed to serve as Gregory West's study.
