- Disowned Adaptation: Peter Stone, the original screenwriter of Charade, hated this remake. He asked for a pseudonym ('Peter Joshua') in his place for the credits. Peter Joshua is a name Cary Grant's character uses in Charade.
- Old Shame: Mark Wahlberg doesn't like the overall product, and considers it to be his worst film.
- What Could Have Been: Will Smith was set to play the male lead, but due to extended production on Ali, he had to drop out, allowing Wahlberg to take over the part.
