• Adaptation First: The American comic adaptation came out three years before JAST USA officially released the game in English.
• Colbert Bump: The game received a humongous boost in sales after writer Gen Urobuchi worked on a certain magical girl anime, with him commenting after its airing that Saya no Uta was selling as much as a newly released title.
• Playing Against Type: Mitsuki Saiga can pitch her voice down so much that her male roles sound like real males, not like someone with a female actress. Even her female roles have really deep, unfeminine voices. However, Ryōko is one of her few roles with a feminine, (not-so-)high voice.
• Porn Names:
  • Hikaru Midorikawa is simply Hikaru...
  • Naoko Takano is Midori Kawamura. Just put the her and the former's names together and you have Hikaru Midorikawa (and -mura...)
  • Yasunori Matsumoto is Daijiro Kataoka.
  • Hyo-sei is Elena Kaibara.
  • Mio Yasuda is Izumi Yazawa.
  • Mitsuki Saiga is Makoto Sato.
• What Could Have Been: Nitro+ CEO Digitarou once expressed an interest of adapting Saya no Uta into a Hollywood movie.
