• Edited for Syndication:
  • Moe saying "Let's monoxide it" and putting a pipe connected to a car's exhaust pipe inside the miniature golf windmill was edited out of UK airings, despite the actual hose still being put inside the windmill. He still says "Who cares what it is?", however.
  • Years after the episode's original airing, it became customary for the show's credits to include the cast of the Spanish dub, even going back and adding them to older episodes. This extends the credits and any music used for them by a few seconds. However, because they either couldn't or didn't want to license a few more seconds of The Clash's "Rock the Casbah", a snippet of the show's theme now plays over the executive producer credits, whereas before the song immediately began.
• No Export for You: Was briefly banned in the UK by Sky when it first premiered due to its racy content. They ended up holding it over and airing it as part of season 10, where it aired under the title, "Margie, May I Sleep With Danger?"
• Technology Marches On: Marge laments the fact that it's Camera Day at the stadium, which is why everyone was able to take their picture. These days almost everyone would have a smartphone to hand, meaning it wouldn't matter if it was Camera Day or not.
• Write What You Know: Writer Matt Selman was partly inspired by his parents' marriage.
