• Deleted Scene:
  • Skinner blames television for the kids' bad behavior.
  • Lisa suggests to Miss Hoover that the children should return to the classroom.
  • Skinner and Bart at an amusement park.
  • Homer tells his plans on how to get Flanders fired.
  • We learn that the Squeaky Voiced Teen's Christian name is Jeremy
• First Appearance: Of Chalmers' assistant Leopold, Luigi Risotto, Ned Flanders' parents, and Baby Gerald, the baby with one eyebrow.
• Milestone Celebration: This is the show's 100th episode. Spoofed by the chalkboard gag where Bart writes, "I will not celebrate meaningless milestones." Otherwise, there's nothing in the episode that highlights this, and it's actually one of the more low-key episodes of the season.
• Write Who You Know: Much of Principal Skinner's behavior in the episode is based on teachers Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein had in high school who, according to Oakley, were "sad, lonely guys who lived with their mothers".
