• Cowboy BeBop at His Computer: The official audio description sets up the scene from "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire" as taking place on Christmas morning. The scene in question, in which the family is introduced to Santa's Little Helper, is actually set on Christmas Eve night.
• Trolling Creator: While the episode aired, showrunner Matt Selman livetweeted the episode as if the show-ruining deleted scenes were being presented seriously. As some of the replies to his tweets show, at least some people didn't realise the joke.
• What Could Have Been: An alternate idea for the episode's Framing Device was a What If...? parody with Comic Book Guy taking the role of the Watcher.
