• Banned Episode: In some parts of Southeast Asia, this episode is either banned or edited to remove references to the Dalai Lama... including Burns blackmailing Homer (as Pie-Man) to attack him.
• Missing Trailer Scene: There's a gag where Homer looks muscular in his superhero outfit, only for his belt to snap and expose his gut. While this scene is in the final, the follow-up scene in the trailer where he says "Thanks for nothing, lite beer!" isn't.
• Recycled Script: This isn't the first Simpsons episode where an "island" turns out to be a peninsula.
