• No Export for You: The Silver Case had never been localized and released outside of Japan until the remaster in 2016, over 17 years after it's initial release. Suda mentioned that the concerns were due to properly translating the game, especially when it also includes the puzzle-like segments of the game.
• Promoted Fanboy: Masahi Ooka was brought on to write the game's Placebo scenarios after Suda was impressed with Moonlight Syndrome Truth File, a strategy guide he had written for Suda's earlier game In the Style of a journalist's report. He would go on to co-write in a similar capacity in future Grasshopper Manufacture games, including Flower, Sun and Rain, The 25th Ward, and Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes, as well as an additional companion volume for Killer7.
• What Could Have Been: The DS version was cancelled because the production team had a hard time figuring out what would be the best way to use the console's dual screen function.
