• Dyeing for Your Art:
  • Vincent D'Onofrio would take uneven suntans, gained over fifty pounds, changed his daily clothes and would only work on the set in character. He also trained himself to only mouth-breathe for several months in order to give himself the way of talking that he had.
  • Peter Sarsgaard didn't cut his hair for nearly eight months to get his mullet-like do.
• Screwed by the Network: Warner Bros was unhappy with the drug content and some of the violent scenes and wanted them edited out. Director D.J. Caruso refused, and as a result they only released it in limited theaters.
