- Inspiration for the Work: Axel said in one comment on the game page that his interest in Japanese folklore is what inspired him to make a video game based on the sakabashira. Plus the theme of the game jam he submitted it to being about life and death.
- What Could Have Been:
- Ceci and Alex were originally named Mary and Oliver, respectively.
- Axel wanted to add more to the game (puzzles, areas...etc) but didn't find the time to do so.
- Word of God:
- According to the game developer, Cool and Marjorie do eventually perish if you decide to leave, as they tried to escape as well afterwards.
- Alex choosing to go home at the end is the canon ending. Axel further confirmed by having Alex make a cameo in A House for Alesa 3.
