• In "Pottage", the children write essays for the "I Remember The Home" assignment; only the first- and second-graders who can't write, draw their memories in "finished, adult-looking" pages. In the 1972 film, the entire class does such illustrations, and the art was all done by San Francisco Renaissance master Arthur Okamura.
