  • Hypothetical Casting:
    • Word of God confirms each Amphibian counterpart to an Owl House character retains the same voice actor they have in the parent work (except King Andrias). The list goes as such:
    • The author has also confirmed hypothetical voice actors for the characters created for this story:
      • Jesse Bliss - Deedee Magno Hall
      • Detective Ventura - Katie Ventura (known as famous Internet star Kurious Katie)
  • Meaningful Release Date:
    • The story's take of "Temple Frogs" was published on the same day the penultimate Owl House episode "For the Future" aired.
    • Both the third What If? chapter and "Chapter 47: Anne-sterminator" were published the day The Owl House's final episode, "Watching and Dreaming", aired.
    • The story's take of "Froggy Little Christmas" was published on the two-year anniversary of the Amphibia episode. This one was exploited by Champion, as he purposely released the final chapters of Arc 5 so that this would happen.
  • Referenced by...: The story gets a few mentions in the Amphibia-based chapters of Luz Clawthorne: it's even labeled an Alternate Universe to the series.
  • Series Hiatus: The story goes into one after each arc ends due the the author taking care of things IRL:
    • Arc 1 ended in November 2020 and was meant to last until March 2021. However, the second arc began 2 months early because the author missed writing.
    • Arc 2 ended with the intention of lasting until "True Colors" aired a month later.
    • Arc 3 ended on November 1, 2021 and went into one that lasted until February 5, 2022.
    • Arc 4 ended on August 6, 2022 and due to circumstances in real life, it lasted until November 23.
    • Arc 5 ended on November 27, 2023 and it's going to last until May of the next year, although one-shot and What If? chapters are still going to be released before the hiatus ends.
  • Throw It In!:
    • After posting a poll that was quickly swayed to the "rewrite" option, the author plans to rewrite chapters so they'll be closer to canon. This also means that Philip Wittebane will be brought closer to his canon counterpart.
    • He also acknowledge the fans' disappointment with how cutting "Fight at the Museum" means Dr. Jan was Adapted Out and consider reworking the adaptation of "If You Give a Frog a Cookie" to include her.
    • The Lyft Driver was only going to appear in the one-shot he debuted in, but the author decided to make him an Ascended Extra in Arc 5 as a recurring character.
  • What Could Have Been: The story was originally conceived to be two parts; one covering the events of Amphibia, the other covering those of The Owl House. The author chose to keep it as one long fic before deciding to leave it up to the readers.
    • Initially, the author wrote Luz's Coming-Out Story with the intent of her fallout with Anne leading them to make up and remain friends. The experience would be the reason Luz would've been oblivious to Amity's crush on her but she still would end up with her. But since "Lumity" is official now and the author liked the idea of Luz and Anne recovering from their fallout and becoming lovers, they decided to go with "Luzanne", which means "Lumity" won't happen in the story.
    • "Here, There, and Elsewhere" was originally titled "Hopes and Dreams". After the change, the original title was used as the name of three segments in the chapter.
    • Chapter 48 was originally titled "If You Give a Newt a Cookie", but was renamed to "Museum Mission" since it combines the plots of "If You Give a Frog a Cookie", "Fight at the Museum", and the clue-finding segment in "Thanks to Them".
  • Word of Gay: Regarding a review for "Coming Home", the author confirms that like Anne, Marcy is also a lesbian.
  • Write Who You Know: The author based the human characters who appear in the story off people they knew in real life. Vincent and Alyssa Farmer are also named after people he knew. It's also implied that Sasha's father's toxic positivity mindset comes from their own experience.
