• Died During Production: The band were in the middle of a reunion tour and were working on their third album when founder Bill Doss died in July 2012.
• The Pete Best: Jeff Mangum is a subversion. He officially left the band after they released the California Demise EP, but he contributed some instrumental parts and backing vocals to both the OTC albums (most notably backing vocals on "I Have Been Floated").
• Throw It In!: "California Demise 3" features a small skip on the line "They've already died," which the band kept in.
