• In Memoriam:
  • When regular panellist Linda Smith passed away in February 2006, the entire programme was replaced with a tribute featuring Simon Hoggart and Andy Hamilton introducing archive clips of Smith's best moments.
  • Following the death of Jeremy Hardy in February 2019, Miles Jupp recorded a brief and emotional tribute to him that went out before the episode began. As the episode was recorded the evening before Jeremy's passing, the original ending of the episode was replaced with a short compilation of some of Jeremy's best lines from the show. The original ending was broadcast as part of the extended repeat the following week, along with the tributes.
• Missing Episode: Pretty much all of the first twelve years is missing, although the unbroadcast pilot does survive. Beginning with the nineties, most of the show survives, except for the Spring 1991 series which is missing in its entirety and a couple of odd episodes between then and 1995. Everything after that exists, with the exception of the 6 September 1997 episode — although it seems quite likely that the recording of that episode was cancelled as it was in the week of Princess Diana's death.
