• Acting for Two: Peter Sellers plays three different roles in the film. Lampshaded by the film itself, with the joke that the founder of Grand Fenwick was, in every possible sense, the "father of his country."
• The Other Darrin: Sellers did not return for The Mouse on the Moon so his roles of the Duchess and Prime Minister were played by Margaret Rutherford and Ron Moody respectively.
