Trivia / The Mark Remark

  • Schedule Slip:
    • It started as a weekly recap, and actually kept that pace until WrestleMania XXXI (only one week was missed due to illness). Since WrestleMania, only two weeks have been covered (and those episodes featured guest writers), a recap of Extreme Rules (which was timely), and it took two months for both parts of WrestleMania to be uploaded. Considering this is LittleKuriboh, no one should be surprised.
    • The series was on hiatus from July to September 2015, as LK had ulcerative colitis, an inflammation of the colon, and has been unable to work much since (but did put up a few hilarious update videos).
    • After his recap of WWE RAW 10/12/2015, Martin stuck to recapping the Pay-Per-Views rather than RAW and/or Smackdown. Though after the brand split in September 2016 he covered some episodes of Raw and SmackDown Live. After his recap of Wrestlemania 33, Episodes became rather intermittent until his final review covering Wrestlemania 34.
    • At the end of the Wrestlemania 34 review, Martin states that any attempt at a regular schedule is over and he will only make new episodes based on time and interest.
  • Tom Hanks Syndrome: When the first of Martin's serious opinion segment Mark My Words saw unexpected popularity, along with increasing discomfort with what he considered mean-spirited jokes on The Mark Remark, Martin started using the same natural accent and offering a more nuanced approach to his still-comedic recap of RAW & Smackdown Live - 5/29/17. Some fans however thought the natural accent was inappropriate for the show's comedic recaps, and after receiving feedback from the comments, the following RAW & Smackdown Live - 6/5/17 recap episode of The Mark Remark saw his over-the-top voice and accent return. Only one more episode of Mark My Words was released before the series was finished, revolving around Roman Reigns' controversial and polarizing Face run throughout 2015-2018.
