- Actor-Inspired Element: The disguises of Din and Mayfeld resembled AT-AT Commander uniforms in early concept art. Notably, this would've required Din to reveal his face much earlier than in the completed episode. The designs changed after Pedro Pascal requested that Din hide his face until "the stakes feel the highest".
- Blooper: In the scene where Mando is trying to convince Mayfeld to enter the cantina to gather intelligence, you can see the jaw of Pedro Pascal (or whoever was playing Mando under the mask) clearly moving after he finishes his line.
- Development Gag: The New Republic scrapyard where TIE Fighter hulls are being broken up is based on unused Concept Art for Jakku from The Force Awakens.
- Promoted Fanboy: Richard Brake accepted the role of Valin Hess after The Mandalorian Season 1 renewed his interest in Star Wars.
