Trivia / The Magnificent Seven (1998)

• Playing Against Type: One of the few times (besides Aliens and The Terminator) that Michael Biehn has played The Hero.
• Recycled: The Series: Based on the film The Magnificent Seven.
• Un-Cancelled: After a fan campaign organised their efforts through a website, raising $5000 for ads in Variety and USA Today, thanking the cast and crew drew some attention. This was what allowed CBS to renew the show for a second season.
• What Could Have Been: Originally, the plan was for Buck to die of the injury he receives near the end of the pilot and be replaced by a member of the Confederates who'd sided with the heroes, but the creators liked Dale Midkiff's chemistry with the rest of the cast so much that they rewrote the script to keep him.
