- All-Star Cast: Besides William H. Macy voicing Leo, the series boasts the voices of Betty White, Harve Presnell, Wallace Shawn, Jeffrey Tambor, and Peri Gilpin. Guest stars included Karl Malden, Ben Stein, Craig Ferguson, and Kathy Ireland. Really, you can't make this stuff up.
- Blooper: In "...But Some of My Best Friends are Clowns", Freddy's glasses change between shots. This is most noticeable in his line "He's not gonna be happy if the MGM lion looks like he's about to nod off!"; the outline changes from white to black when he says "nod off". In the same episode, Butch and Bruno lose their eyes for a frame.
- Keep Circulating the Tapes: The show never received any home video releases, has not aired since its only season ended in 1998, and the only place where it could be seen again was Hulu, but was removed in 2014. All thirteen episodes resurfaced through YouTube in 2021, but episodes 7-11 ("Greta Garbo Ears" up to "The Pony Show") have playback issues.
- Screwed by the Network: Most stations that carried the show dumped the series to the very early morning hours, before their main block of Saturday morning cartoons. Unsurprisingly, MGM didn't renew it for a second season.
