Trivia / The Last War (1961)

• Bad Export for You: The Last War was originally going be dubbed into English and given a theatrical release by Paramount but that deal fell through and The Last War was given a horrendous Americanization before being dumped onto television. Among the changes made, the film's final scene was moved to the beginning which gave away the film's ending, the setting was moved to 2015 instead of contemporary '60s Japan for no reason with all attempts at making it set in the future ending with the year change, the film's runtime was cut down from 110 minutes to 79 and was given an atrocious English dub. Additionally, the film's ending was now incomplete since scenes that belonged there had been moved to the start and, bizarrely, the soundtrack contains multiple uses of Disney's "It's a Small World" song.
