• Working Title: During filming the movie was known as The Day of the Gun, Journey Into Sunset and The Hot Eye of Heaven. Among some of the more ludicrous titles that Universal proposed The Magnificent Two, The Majestic Brutes, Seething Guns, The Fuel and the Fire, Two to Make Hate, Death is My Middle Name and Appointment with a Dead Sun.
