Trivia / The Lamplighters League

  • Screwed by the Network: Not only did Paradox suddenly lay off over 80% of Harebrained Schemes without explanation three months before the game launched, but less then a week after launch, Paradox declared the game "a complete loss" and declared that they would be ending HBS's tenure on the game at the start of 2024 and that all future content updates would be shelved indefinitely.
  • What Could Have Been: After parting ways with publisher Paradox Interactive, Harebrained Schemes released concept art and details on what they had planned for The Lamplighters League's future:
    • A new location known as 'The Wells of the Ancients' which revolved around a series of subterranean temples that the League would have to liberate from the Banished Court’s control. This location would have included new enemies including stone golems and cave-dwelling monsters.
    • Additional factions; including an American agency under the influence of Marteau Industries that sought to protect his interests abroad, and the Thousand Snow Mountain monastery, Jianyi's former order which would have included a storyline that allowed him to clear his name.
    • At least two additional characters, specifically a fourth ally known only as 'The Hunter' that would provide real-time infiltration upgrades and a thirteenth agent named Demien; an eccentric hermit and monster trapper.
